Stage 1 - Arrow Rock

Stage 1 - Arrow Rock starts out with an uphill grind heading out of historic Boonville and funnels you onto a classic Missouri ridge road, Santa Fe.  Once you head north the course is relatively flat with some gentle rollers.  As you take the left turn at Arrow Rock the terrain changes and the action picks up as there are some more twists and turns along this stretch.  Towards the end of the loop, heading back into Arrow Rock (mile 30), you will see the starting KOM banner.  This KOM is about a 4-6% grade for a 1/2 mile.  Not overly challenging by any stretch of the imagination but it will keep the peloton on its toes as it speed will have the ability to split the pack up.  There will be some chances to regroup heading south and east back towards Boonville.  The last 6 miles of the race will be the biggest challenge as you are back on Santa Fe.  Coming into town its a downhill to a short but steep uphill finish.  Positioning is key as there will be not much ground you can make up on the downhill.

Stage 2 - Splice Creek Valley

Stage 2 - Splice Creek Valley has a little something for everyone.  This course is an out and back to maximize quality pavement, lack of traffic, and diversity of terrain.  As you head southeast out of Boonville it will be a neutral start with a police escort.  Once you take a left onto H98 the race is on.  Enjoy the gentle rollers and great tarmac until you head south and then the winding hills begin.  the course is filled with challenging rollers along the ridge roads just to the west of the Missouri River.  The course will gain in elevation to the turn around in the quaint town of Jamestown.  Get ready for the KOM right after a super fast decent into the Splice Creek Valley.  The KOM starts around mile 33 and is just under a mile with a 4-11% grade.  As you make your way back through the rollers get your positioning dialed in for the fast finish into the historic town of Boonville.
